Q: How to forbid certain user to view the root directory to get the directory list of other users?

A: Suppose the root directory is "C:\share\", "a" is you, b" and "c" are two users. There are two sub-directories: "C:\share\files1\" for user b, "C:\share\files2\" for user c.

Please enable "File protection" (on the "Settings" > "File Protection" panel) and set it like this:


Now please click "Save settings" to save the changes.

Then:
1) User a (a is you) is able to see all directories.
2) User b can not see directory "Files2" but he can see "Files1".
2) User c can not see directory "Files1" but he can see "Files2".

Now User b and c can only see their own directory.
